best wish to sb 向某人表示最良好的祝愿

8. blow out 吹灭

The wind blows hard. 风刮得很大。

9. if 如果后接条件状语从句， (主将从现）

If it doesn’t rain tommorrow, I’ll go to the zoo.

10. will + do 一般将来时 be going to + do

11. lucky 幸运的 lucky dog 幸运儿 luck n unlucky 不幸的

12. be popular with 受……欢迎

13. cut up 切碎 cut down 砍倒

14. have an idea 有个主意

I have no idea 不知道 = I don’t know = I’m not sure.

15. bring good luck to 给某人带来好运

16. on one’s birthday 在某人生日时

17. in different countries 在不同国家里

18. the number of ……的数量作主语时，谓语用单数

The number of the students in our school is 5,000.

a number of 许多，大量后接可数名词的复数

A number of students go to school by bus.

19. all (the ) candles

all of the candles 所有的蜡烛

20. in one go / in a go 一口气

21. come true 实现（主语是梦想，理想，预言）

22. a symbol of long life 长寿的象征

23. good luck to sb 祝某人好运
